⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great food and amazing service! We arrived at Bonsai Garden Sushi Bar about 30–40 minutes before closing, and I was honestly impressed with how welcoming they were. The gentleman who greeted us was very friendly and happily welcomed us in. He did let us know that they were doing last call for sushi, which was completely understandable considering how close it was to closing time. The restaurant wasn’t too crowded, with only a couple of other parties there, so we were seated right away. What I really appreciated was that our waiter never made us feel rushed. Even though they were getting ready to close, he gave us time to look through the menu and decide what we wanted. Once we ordered, the sushi rolls came out pretty quickly. Everything we tried was delicious, and the portions were actually a good size for the price. I’ve noticed a lot of sushi restaurants have been raising their prices while making the rolls smaller, but that wasn’t the case here. The prices at Bonsai Garden were reasonable and the portions felt worth what we paid. We did a pick up order from here and ate it at home. They got our order almost correctly but gave us a yellowtail nigiri instead of yellowtail hand roll. We called them and they were nice and made us a the hand roll, we just had to come pick it up. The sushi was good, not the best sushi I’ve ever had, but not bad at all. Nigiri was very good! I would probably come back to try all you can eat.

The original Tonkatsu ramen is absolutely delicious! It’s the best in Santa Clarita by far. The staff is really gracious and the vibe is super friendly and chill for any occasion. Can’t wait to go back!

As you enter you are greeted by an open and spacious space. The sushi bar area is nicely decorated and looks well maintained. The entire restaurant is meticulously clean with everything in its place. Service is attentive and gracious. I ordered the Chicken Karaage Curry and my mom ordered the Salmon Collar. When our food arrived it looked fantastic. The Chicken Karaage looked really crunchy. I ate a piece off the top and it was extremely crunchy, my expectations were high. I dipped a piece of chicken into the curry sauce, but the sauce seemed bland. As I ate it was clear the chicken was incredible, but the curry sauce was broken. There were multiple signs of separation. Some parts were watery and bland, other parts were thicker with stronger flavor. In the picture separation can be seen around the edges of the sauce. Another issue is the rice was room temperature and the grains were starting to tighten and did not mix well with the curry sauce. The disappointing thing is both issues could have easily been fixed before serving. The curry sauce was an easy fix and the rice just had to be warmed. Small things really do make a big difference. I would give the Chicken Karaage alone a 5
